How Does BELOTERO BALANCE® Work?

Hyaluronic acid is the active ingredient of the BELOTERO BALANCE® filler. It works by binding itself to the water molecules in the skin to create new volume. The production of collagen is also stimulated. The result is an immediate filling in of wrinkles, giving the skin a smoother appearance.

BELOTERO BALANCE® is ideal for treating a number of facial age lines and folds. These include marionette lines, parentheses lines, perioral lip lines, and the harsh nasolabial folds, which begin at the corners of the nose and travel down to the corners of the mouth. BELOTERO BALANCE® is also an excellent solution for tear troughs.

How Is BELOTERO BALANCE® Different from Other Fillers?

There are a few differences between BELOTERO BALANCE® and fillers like Juvederm and Restylane. BELOTERO BALANCE®, has a thinner consistency than other fillers. Even though BELOTERO BALANCE® and Juvederm are both gels, BELOTERO BALANCE® is more diluted and is not as viscous as Juvederm.

BELOTERO BALANCE® is best for the treatment of superficial midface wrinkles and folds that could be extremely fine and subtle. These lines are different from the deeper ones that are sometimes better tended to by Juvederm or Restylane.

Because of how it is formed, BELOTERO BALANCE® is less likely to create lumps in the skin than different fillers. It also avoids the Tyndall effect, which is a bluish hue in the skin sometimes seen after other injectables are used in facial regions where the skin is thinner.

What Should You Tell Your Doctor Before a BELOTERO BALANCE® Treatment?

Dr. Lahiri should be made aware of any skin conditions you have had in the recent past before BELOTERO BALANCE® is administered. Certain skin conditions might make it necessary for you to wait for a few days before your BELOTERO BALANCE® treatment. Your doctor should also be made aware of any medications you are currently taking.
